Vishnu sees downside risk mounting for global growth in the next 6 to 18 months. He reckons growth for this year will remain “fairly supported” and resilient. The International Monetary Fund recently warned that escalating trade tensions are threatening to derail a global upswing that’s already losing momentum. On top of this, financial markets also seem complacent to the mounting risks. We also discuss the uneven growth and divergence in monetary policies happening between the US and other regions. Also, Templeton and BlackRock recently said now is the time to buy emerging markets. Does he agree? Vishnu weighs in.
