The Week In Review: Silver Linings

It’s been a tough week for our media with the jamming of Radio Free Sarawak and Radio Free Malaysia and DDOS attacks on The Malaysian Insider. But it was not without a silver lining. Early in the week the Federal court agreed to hear arguments about the right of states to restrict freedom of expression. And from Asia Calling: Myanmar frees up its media, Nepal embraces clouds to generate jobs and Thailand drafts laws on same sex unions.
