Literally giving my body to art in this instance to Be Takerng Pattanopas who I met through Brian Curtin. I was part of the Nippon Foundations’ Asian Public Intellectuals fellowship. Thailand was the second leg of the fellow, having spent the first six months in The Phillippines.

Be needed a large body to be cast in plaster from which a concave mould was made but using an optical trick made it resemble a convex shape at the end of a corridor. The cast process took more time than I remember caring for since I had to be still.

This has been the only time I have made contributions to art, in a very literal sense: to Simryn Gill I had my nose cast in tin, and modelled with a pineapple mask; for Ray Langenbach’s “Singapore Subliminal” I contributed my dreams.
